I can’t say enough about how good this company is. Fortino, Brandon and Josh went the extra mile and did a wonderful job. They started on time every day and kept the area they were working on clean. At the end of each day they cleaned up everything. We changed from an old gas furnace to a heatpump and they removed the old system and vents and re-routed the vents to bring our system up to code. Now we don’t have big temperature differences in the house and the system is so quiet you can barely tell that it is on. This company is super professional. I can’t recommend them enough. I am adding a follow-up. Weeks after the installation we noticed a rumbling sound when the system was set to maximum. Julio and Rick came out twice to measure and then to install a custom vibration dampened earthquake restraint for our system. They truly went the extra mile. Thanks again.

From start to finish the experience of working with Alternative HVAC to install a heat pump far exceeded our expectations. Mike's initial visit to explain what would be involved was clear and thorough, and he helped us to feel that we were in capable, experienced, and confident hands. Scheduling with the office staff was a breeze and they made it a priority to answer the phone and/or return our calls promptly. Adrian and Josh were the team members/installers of our new system. They both exhibited professionalism, friendliness, competency, always on time, were tidy, and encouraged us to not hesitate asking any questions we may have. Alternative HVAC did a great job with the replacement of our old gas furnace and installation of a heat pump from beginning to end. Mike came and spent time with us to understand the situation and explain the different options which was very helpful. Adrian and Jeremy worked very hard on the installation, which was complicated and difficult because of the reconfiguration of the air ducts in the crawl space. They paid attention to all the details, kept everything very clean, and communicated all along on what was going on. The company also takes care of the rebates and loans, which helps a lot in terms of value.

I bought mini splits from them about a year ago. I found them to be a professional company: honest, punctual, and clear about their proposed solution. The system works well. My realtor was also enthusiastic about the mini splits and felt they would add value to the house. I recently had my house inspected. Without prompting, the inspector commented on how the installers had done the electrical wiring and praised the Mitsubishi system I had installed. It was one of the smoothest home improvement projects I've done. I wish they all were this easy.

Two great installers, Josh and Ramon, were always here right on time ready to get to work. Both nice guys. I would stop them occasionally to ask a question and they were friendly and easily and thoroughly answered me. At the end of the day the entire area was totally clean up. The project was completed in the prescribed time. Before they left Ramon took the time to explain the how the new HVAC SYSTEM works then explained the remote and how to use it to set the temperature and fans to optimize my comfort. I highly recommend ALTERNATIVE HVAC SOLUTIONS.

I rarely write reviews, but I want to write this one. I had a 4-ton and a 3-ton heat pump system installed by Alternative HVAC Solutions in San Carlos. The owner Mike came out to assess what needed to be done. He was very willing to spend whatever time was necessary to answer my questions, and being an engineer a had a lot. There were 5 different guys that were involved in doing the job. Every one of them seemed very knowledgeable, and were very helpful, and were also very polite. I enjoyed working with them.
